LeadIgnite Online (Whatsapp) meeting 8/4/2017

Summary of our online (Whatsapp) meeting of 8th of April, 2017 (7pm to 8pm). Anchored by Allen O. Josh (President, LeadIgnite).
Title of Teaching: Fulfilling your Purpose

Preamble by Oluwadamilola Oladipo (Vice-president, LeadIgnite): Every individual or being has a purpose to fulfill on earth and that purpose is unique to every single being and this uniqueness has to be celebrated firstly by its owner before anyone else can join in the celebration. Our purpose is the reason for our existence. It is what makes everyone of us. So many people can do the same thing in different ways to achieve different results/purpose. Today I want to ignite every one of us with these few words : God has created each of us, you for instance, to be able to do something in such a way that no one else can do it better, in that particular way, except for you. It is left to each of us to discover that thing and the way we alone can do it best.....it's called PURPOSE.
Allen O. Josh: Like we said earlier,we shall be treating the topic...Fulfilling your Purpose
Like we know, this topic is a build-up on our previous meeting on Purpose discovery which was treated in our first meeting for the session.
So like a previous simple post (by Oladipo Oluwadamilola) implies,
Your strong and consistent passion and purpose are so tied to each other.
It has been wired by Papa God to make it quite easy for you to discover and fulfill your purpose
For when passion drives, everything else is done almost effortlessly.
Allen O. Josh: So,also as a revision on Discovering your Purpose...
Here is another potent way to go about it...
Many things are wrong with/in the society: souls are perishing on their ways to hell; the disabled, orphans and other less privileged citizens are suffering; children and youths are given to dipravity, immorality, addictions and many bad habits
...lack of education...or inaccessibility to formal education... or inability to afford it plague some people and limit them;
Many suffer health challenges because they are ignorant of certain health precautions, principles...or lack of access to adequate health care facilities.
...including drugs and hospitals.
These societal challenges are almost endless in numbers.
Now helpful questions are these
• which of them (the societal problems) appeal the most to your passion and desire to intervene, even if you currently don't have the ability to really do so much?
That's a pointer to God's purpose for you
And it should guide your decisions with respect to how you spend your precious resources...time, money, efforts, attention...etc.
Allen O. Josh: Furthermore....
• which mode of rendering help comes most naturally, easily or spontaneously to you? Is it giving? Offering advice? Counseling? Praying for other people? Teaching specific life concepts? Is it through writing?
We all can do all of these to different degrees, but there would be one or some that are more peculiar to you than other modes, or than many other average persons would really engage in. That's a pointer to your purpose!
Allen O. Josh: So all these would point us to our individual and unique purpose... that is your special way of fulfilling the overall purpose of good words, or invading the various systems of the world with resources of the kingdom.
Allen O. Josh: Now after a compelling purpose has been discovered...you don't stay with it merely to revel in the joy of discovering it...
Allen O. Josh: You set out to break it into bits...such as writing a clear vision, breaking it down into goals and working out daily plans to execute it. And these will be the major item of our next meeting this coming Saturday.
But before then...here are some things to note in the pursuit or in fulfilling your purpose:
1. Be careful of good opportunities.
There is a level of life attained via purpose discovery, where opportunities are not really what drive your decisions in life. I mean...you don't just jump at every great or nice opportunity that comes around or come your way. You take advantage of only the ones that fit into your definite plan and purpose, and let go others, however fine-sound or fine-looking they are. In other words, your purpose guides what you do with opportunities.
2. Relationships.
Watch your relationships and note their perceived effect on your zeal and passion for your unique purpose.
Just like not all good opportunities are good for you, also not all good people are good for you!
Two clsses of people to be careful of:
• vision-less people who want to drag you down to their level—some via critical opposition to your plan and big dreams, while some other ones via subtle words of discouragement. They could say some things under the 'canopy' of "let's be realistic." But then they leave you discouraged afterwards. Just watch your state of mind after every encounter with them, you will soon find them among even you most valued friends.
• Secondly, those I call "Bulldozers"...who are radical visionaries. These people have strong persuasive visions. They are vigorous in their pursuit of purpose, but they are also so absorbed in their vision that they do not see any essence or reason why anyone would want to or should do something else (different from theirs). They can sap your zeal when they communicate their visions. They can sap your zeals for your unique purpose. They mostly do this unintentionally, just a side effect of some strong passions.
Time’s up!
So,we shall continue from there in our next "physical meeting" on Saturday,15th of April,2017. @SUB Lawn Tennis court (the spectators' stand) by 5pm.
Any question?
Damilola: For people who have the passion to write ; poems, articles etc. How do we get the feedback that our writings are actually making impacts?
Allen O. Josh: In fulfilling your purpose, through writing for example, you may not get any feedback at the start...by then, you just derive your satisfaction from doing what you know you should be doing, and a conviction that someone will someday get blessed by it.
But overtime, people will surely get blessed so much that feedbacks will start flowing...and so much more pleasure results from that. Just keep at it!
Allen O. Josh: If anyone still has any question, you can post it here, or personally...
I will try to answer later.
#or bring it to the next meeting if u don't mind.
Do have a great night,everyone!
